Heavy black antique wool is richly embroidered with gilt thread and silk and was once adorned with pink silk that has now faded to cream. The wool edges were cut into scallops and over embroidered with gilt thread. This has raveled for the most part and will need to be removed or repaired. The rest of the embroidery is in excellent condition. Exotic and bold -- an fabulous piece for the collector of the eclectic and unusual. Offered in excellent condition as described and shown, as found. c.1850's - 1900 29.5" X 30"
