In the style of Normandy lace, this exquisite antique pieced lace tea cloth was clearly used and loved for many, many years. A few holes and lace separations can be overlooked, as you can see, below. Finest linen center panel is beautifully embroidered by hand and is surrounded by both hand and machine made Valenciennes lace, and embroidered net lace, all pieced together by hand. Over-the-top froo froo...do you dare?!? Ever-so shabby but wonderful, freshly hand laundered and pressed. c.1880's -- 1920's 33" round
