These are just amazing!
These vintage German mangle cloths were intended for the European Bernhard estate, to be used with the mangle machine (also called an "Ironer") to press household linens. They were never used, oh JOY!
Each has been machine monogrammed with the owner's name, "BM Bernhard" in matching red embroidery. Use as a tablecover for a long country table, or for upholstery, pillows, curtains....whew! The heavy linen was woven to withstand years and years of use...so don't be afraid to use use use this piece! A classic wide red stripe runs the length of either side. Offered as found, in excellent condition...one with a large water spot, is shown, and it will launder right out, I promise. c.1950's - 60's 36" X 113"
